At Iboga Records, we are ready with a new Delightful downtempo EP with “Deep Fried Dub”.

The Australian duo consists of Ben Hartley, also known as one part of the Progressive House duo “Nyquist”, and Ben Dudding, also known under the alias “Dr. Benway”. They started working together in 1996 on the dance project “Redivider” and also had solo projects going, but it wasn't until 2003 that they created the dubbier sound their deep fried dub project has become known for.
It resulted in an album self titled as “Deep Fried Dub”. Now the boys are preparing a second album, and as a teaser we can present you with the 5 tracks EP called “Saturated”.

Deep Fried Dub is wonderfully crafted music that can be enjoyed in many situations. Another quality release from Iboga Records / Sofa Beats.

Hot in the heels of his debut solo-album "In The Dirt" on Iono Music, Philip Guillaume aka Motion Drive presents a new EP on Iboga Records.

Philip has long been an important ambassador for Switzerland on the global trance curcuit - first with the projects Blue Vortex and Rumble Pack and now with his highly succesful project Motion Drive. He has collaborated with the likes of Behind Blue Eyes, Zen Mechanics, Time In Motion and Dualism and influential artists like Perfect Stranger, Ace Ventura and Emok/Maelstrom has requested his skills as a talented remixer.

On the new "Spring Thing" EP he is showcasing what he does best; positive grooves, trance-influenced melodies and rhythms bordering between progressive house and progressive trance. Joining him in the studio on one of the tracks is also the French act Aladiah, who is showing a different side than his usual psychedelic full on sound.

With the summer well on the way on the northern hemisphere the timing couldn't have been better for this release – a gem for the afternoon hours.

"Cavalier", the much anticipated new Antix album is finally getting the long-awaited release in May. It’s the fourth album by the Antix-brothers from New Zealand on the Danish label Iboga Records, and once again they have surpassed themselves.

The album is a double CD format, consisting of 9 original creations accompanied by 10 top quality remixes from the likes of Hernan Catteneo, Djuma Soundsystem, Beckers, Erphun, Dousk, Jamie Stevens and Tim Richards - tunes with both the dance floor and the pure pleasure of listening in mind.

"Cavalier" is choreographed in a mixed format designed to evoke and enhance the Antix vibe whilst taking the listener on a journey, and the Antix trademark is very coherent in all their productions; crispy rhythmic hooks, minor harmonies, melancholic drifting pads and gentle swishes and fizzes. With the first listen you feel as though you are in very good hands.

"We have spent the longest time in the production on "Cavalier" compared to our previous albums, we wanted it to be something special, a new chapter in our lives. We realize with the introduction of digital downloads most people will be able to purchase the tracks as singles, so we crafted the CD as one continuous edit, so the listeners have something that they can take away with them on a holiday or on a long car journey".

The album EP's "Box of Birds", "The Hoard" and "Manta" have already set the benchmark of what is in store, getting praise and support from the likes of Dave Seaman, Nick Warren, King Unique, John Digweed, Stephan Bodzin, Paul Oakenfold, Jerome Isma-Ae and Laurent Garnier to name just a few, and the full album has even more treats.
About the tracks:

“The Hoard” (Album rendition); from the get go you are locked in a washed out and distorted symphonic intro with this very special edit. It’s a clubbed up version of the original mix (which was championed by John Digweed on his Transitions show) with its subterranean bass line and chugging chords - a perfect intro into this new Antix long player.

"Manta" swoops and soars as the title suggests into the album's namesake "Cavalier".

"Cavalier" gallops its way to a triumphant finale, a definitive stand out moment.

"Under the Shade" is the album's most melodically infectious tune with its rock chords, retro drums and pop structure. This track is seductively charming and an instant favorite.

From here we encroach on what is new territory for Antix with "Lost & Found" - in this case Indie Dance, which shows their diversity and skill to adapt their sound to different genres. It has a very Depeche Mode/Unkle vibe to it and is a fascinating composition, constantly evolving under lush vocals and a catchy arpeggiated hook securing a very solid yet ingenious dance floor approach.

"Out of Sorts" keeps with the Antix ethos of a hypnotic shuffling rhythm. It relies on a taut robotic funk and pulsing bottom end with a pitched down vocal.

"Let the Right One In" on the other hand has an organic slower energy with its clever use of affectless vocal samples taking you on a cruise through the countryside with a more minimal but very hypnotic approach.

"Box of Birds". Not a lot more can be said about this stellar release. It was the first installment of the 3 EP's and will definitely ruffle your feathers with its haunting pads, up-front slap-bass, and tight analogue riff giving you a glimpse of life from above the clouds.

"Miro", the album's final track, is more like an outro reminiscent of a classic 'Chain Reaction' cut from the mid nineties. It slowly builds to a wondrous crescendo, leaving you gently back at your door step with the sounds of waves crashing on the shore.

SPLEEN UNITED is a Danish electronic rock band. It was formed in Århus, Denmark in 2002.
With an underlying tone of warm romanticism and a musical approach that can be down and dirty, hard rocking, melodious and experimental, SPLEEN UNITED sounds like no other band in Denmark today. They have replaced bass and guitar with synthesizers on many of the tracks, and they insist on playing synthesizers as if they were guitars, lending an organic feel to the electronic aspects of the album. In other words, SPLEEN UNITED has their own unique approach to music. The track SUBURBIA was one of the biggest radio hits in Denmark in the year 2008, and now the band has together with Iboga Records created a unique package with remixes of the massive tune “SUBURBIA”
First on the release we find RUNE RK, manager of Arti Farti and Nightology Records and producer of ARTIFICIAL FUNK. Rune RK has a long list of hits behind him. ARTIFICIAL FUNK – CALABRIA is definitely worth mentioning when talking about RUNE. Then we have a down tempo remix from Danish producer STEEN THOTTRUP, located on the island of IBIZA. STEEN THOTTRUP is known for his various releases on CAFE DEL MAR, BUDDHA BAR & IBIZARRE RECORDS and for his project MIRO. ANTIX from New Zealand has provided a massive progressive house remix just prior their new album release on Iboga Records. DJ EMOK & LENNY IBIZAARE, known for IBOGA RECORDS and IBIZARRE RECORDS, has supplied 2 massively produced versions one full vocal house version and a progressive house dub version. Jacob Bech, new upcoming electro house producer from IBIZA has supplied a nice electro remix and last we have a trance remix produced by Danish ORION aka JEAN BORELLI.

'This is an album that reaches in different directions and generally successes. You can tell when listening that a lot of work went it to this and it shows in the production. There are a few tracks that I don't get but some that more than make up for it and are outstanding... namely 'Autumn' which is a heart wrenching peace of beautiful techno! 'Depth Charge' is also a great and interesting number that Antix also deliver a monumental remix of. Iboga Records presents the second full-length album from Maelstrom aka DJ Emok.

After more than a year of hard studio work, Mikael Dahlgaard aka DJ Emok, has completed his follow up to the solo project Maelstrom. The title of this album is “Lights On”.

Emok is known as one of the leading progressive Djs and as one of the owners of the label Iboga Records.
He is also part of the duo, Phony Orphants.

The style on the new album is a fat progressive club sound with touches of trance elements. Tracks from the album is supported by a large number of top DJs and artists around the globe.

In 2007-08 the track “React” by Maelstrom and Liquid Soul was hitting it big at sales charts and on dance floors globally. “Lights On” features a marvellous remix By rising star “Rocky”. Furthermore we find two remixes Emok has written for Brisker & Magitman and Saikopod. Also collaborations with Rinkadink & Lenny Ibizarre has made it on to this fabulous album.

Iboga Records presents the debut album from the Israeli duo Quantize.

Reshef Harari and Adi Ashkenazi is behind the ambitious project aiming to conquer the global stage with their crunchy pumping progressive trance music. The boys have created a style and an expression, which is rarely found in such a high quality as this album represents.

Quantize has previously released music with Domo records for whom they in 2007 compiled the CD “Stepping forward”. Blue Tunes Records had the pleasure to release the lovely Womanizer remix from early 2008. Also in 2008 a digital download EP was released on Iboga with the track skywalker along a remix by Virb and Padd (ex frogacult). A track which also is to be found on the iboga compilation Set:8 Electronic ballroom.
Quantize has also written a marvellous remix of the Ace Ventura / Intelabeam effort “The john”, due out on Iboga at the autumn of 2008.

On the album the boys have on three tracks collaborated with some fellow countrymen, namely Perfect Stranger and Ace ventura as well as O-Grinker.

Calling Yuli Fershtat a pioneer in the Israeli electronic music scene would certainly not be an overstatement. He has been producing music for over a decade, and with his first project BLT he was regarded one of the top psychedelic trance producers, with releases on labels like HOM-Mega, Balloonia, Krembo, Hadshot and Transient under his belt.

All things evolve though, and so does Yuli - in 2005 we had the honor of releasing his first track as Perfect Stranger, and since then he has been a huge influence on the progressive scene, and a pioneer for the new wave of progressive artists coming from Israel. With his unique blend of tribal, progressive house and psychedelic trance elements he has built a solid reputation as one of the most highly respected progressive producers and his latest development is towards a more minimal techno sound - without ever losing the touch for the psychedelic and atmospheric.

On this 3-track EP you can find his newest creation, Clear Vision 07 - a taster for his upcoming album, coming out on Iboga Records. Also featured is an amazing, deep remix by the Strom brothers Fiord (also known as Antix), as well as "Whats The Lineup" - a classic Perfect Stranger tune.

Virb & Padd is a collaboration between Mikkel Calum (The half of Frogacult - Iboga Records, DK) and David Henriksen (dj plex, twentysixbeats events).

Virb:
Mikkel started out behind drums in his childhood. Soon it became the guitar - and after that synthesizers, keyboards & computers. In 2000 he released under Fluffy Puppy for the first time. It was Psychedelic trance. He did several releases and had some gigs around Denmark & Sweden. Check out Discogs for more details.

He changed a bit in style and started Cubica. The style was more minimal and he releases Tiny Shell which became extremely well-accepted in the danish scene. Then he joined forces with Casper (a local dj back then) and they started Frogacult in 2002.

Frogacult released their first EP in 2003. And soon followed the mega-success "Something For Sundays". They toured around Europe & Mexico and got massive response by the audience. Check out the Frogacult discography.

Casper & Mikkel decided to put the project on standby because of personal issues. Its still on standy and who knows?

Mikkel is highly influenzed by the scandinavian sound. its deep, mystic and a bit trance like. In this new project ’virb’ - the sound will be more experimental and wicked.

Padd:
David has for the past 5 years, been a DJ under the name of "plex" at a wide variety of indoor and outdoor parties in Denmark. He has become quite well-established during the last few years, and have been connected with the Progressive and Minimal Tech/House style, which he has conveyed to others, as a DJ and Party organizer (Founder of Twentysix beats on south sealand). He is among other things, known for his funky, groovy and quirky style, as well as his technical skills, which can make anybody move ’n groove, no matter what time of the day.

After this promising dj career, he has joined a collaboration under the name "padd" with Mikkel Calum (virb), to mix the best of both their experiences and knowledge as dj/artist, of the electronic music genre...

In August of 2008 a remix by Virb & Padd for Quantize´s "Skywalker" was released on a digital single with the Earsugar "Womanizer" remix by Quantize on Iboga Records".

Furthermore Virb & Padd has remixed one of the new Behind Blue Eyes tunes "Photograph of the Imaginary" and Beat Bizarre´s "Content may Differ".

Virb & Padd has also begun writing material ment for a debut album in the future, take a listen at their myspace page for teasers and other stuff. It is yet to be decided which label will be the lucky one to release it.

Iboga Records Presents an EP with the Swedish Duo “Couchlock”. Behind the project stands Michael K and Simon Heath, located in Stockholm. Simon is also known under the name “Krusseldorf”, which saw an album release on Sofa Beats in 2007, titled “Smokers Lounge”.

Simon was featured on the 2007 compilation “Floating Point 4” on sofa beats and he has also released a digital EP as “Krusseldorf” with the tracks “Devil Weed” and “A new hope”. A new album is under preparation and a collaboration with Russian Duo "Koan" has also taken place, being released on Blue Tunes.
Furthermore Simon has written the track "The world is our Oyster", released on Iboga Records compilation Set:8, with Michael Banel from Behind Blue Eyes. A follow up from this collaboration is on the way too.
Simon has written a remix to Koan´s "Watermarks", which gets released on Iboga Records in the summer of 2008.

Iboga Records Presents a new compilation in co-operation with top international DJ / Producer Kasey Taylor and his label Vapour Recordings. The CD is entitled “Gems”, and is a stunning collection of tracks from the artists of the two labels, compiled by Kasey Taylor.
Flow & Zeo from Brasil Gets a second release on Iboga with their remix of the KT classic “Trapped”, which also is remixed by one of the top producers from the last few years, being dousk from Greece.
dousk is on the CD with a second offering too, which is a remix of the track “Shnorkel”, by Miki Litvak (Elegant Universe) & Ido Ophir. These two artists are currently on a roll with a pearl string of slamming numbers.

Peter Gun also appears with a remix of French duo Solead´s tune “Giddy Down” and Peter also gets remixed by KT on the track “Acapulco”, which was previously released on Iboga in early 2008.
Luke Chable, known from Critically acclaimed acts such as Quest, Lostep and Digital mind distortion, is back in action after a long break, with a remix effort on Kasey Taylors track “Peaches”.

Flowjob are releasing their second album on iboga this spring of 2008.

“Woody twister” is a track meant to be a teaser for the upcoming CD, packed with trademark flowjob happy and twisted leads rolling on top of a fat groove.

Behind Blue Eyes released a double CD in 2007 containing a live recording and a pack of remixes from international artists. The CD was a success and here we add the “Rumble in the Jungle” remix by Mexican duo Jey & Ex.

Iboga Records Presents a new digital release with Peter Gun & Terzi.

Peter gun is reaching status as one of the big guns in the progressive house region, where he in recent years has been releasing on top labels such Invent, Vapour, Global Underground, Ministry Of Sound, Iboga, Plastic Park, Tribal Vision and Blue Tunes.

He also released a full length album on Millennium “Thicker than Blood”, in July 2005.

Emok & Banel have again compiled a new release in Iboga Records Set series.
This time it’s called: Set:8 - Electronic Ballroom.
The CD contains 9 exclusive tracks.

The CD starts off with an electro remix of the old BLT & Danni Makov hit – Patterns of from A Balter, then a new monster big tune from Maelstrom there for sure will make the dance floor euphoric. Next is Peter Gun & Terzi, this time with a big hitter called “Acapulco”. This tune was for long no. 2 on the chart of release records promo pool.

Nyquist again deliver with a new fat club tune, and we can with joy look forward to the Nyquist album later in the year.

Iboga Records Presents a new digital release, this time with the recent signing, QUANTIZE.

This Duo consists of Reshef Harari and Adi Ashkenazi. They are both from Israel.

The boys have begun to impress with their convincing progressive psy trance and an amazing production level, a super dancefloor friendly sound, there really does the job. Their efforts have resulted in an album deal on Iboga Records, scheduled for autumn 2008. Furthermore the boys have remixed Ace Ventura, a remix that will be included on Ace venturas remix album this spring. Also forthcoming, is their remix to Earsugar´s Womanizer, a release also set for the coming spring 2008.

We are proud to release this first EP with Quantize, it will be a big year for the boys.

Iboga Records / Sofa beats Presents the new album by Krusseldorf “Smokers Lounge”.

Behind “Krusseldorf”, we find the multi talented Swede - Simon Heath.

Simon, born in 1977, started producing when he early on played around with his Amiga and a microphone. In the years that have followed, Simon got involved in numerous projects and developed his knowledge and skills. During the process and through the years, he has been part of writing 10 albums and additionally many other tracks on compilations and other albums, released under various names, touching a broad range of ambient, dub, IDM and psy music. Simon has reached a very high level both in story telling and production technique, and the new album, containing 13 tracks, is full of brilliant music, written with passion and heart.

Iboga Records / Sofa Beats introduced Krusseldorf on the Floating Point 4 compilation from spring 2007 and releases a digital download EP with 2 more tracks at the end of this year.

Krusseldorf´s “Smokers lounge” is a true inspiration, a wonderful, intelligent album with many great moments.

Mikael dahlgaard (Emok) is the man behind the name Maelstrom. He has been working on his solo album during the last 2 years and recently started to perform it live as well.

Emok is together with Michael Banel, during the last 10 years, the driving force behind the Iboga label, and together with Jeppe ørnkilde, he has released two full-lenght albums as Phoney Orphants with great success during the years all the way back to the early iboga days.

The new album by Maelstrom, consists of some very interesting collaborations, with top names such as Liquid Soul, Nyquist, Hydrophonic from South Africas Nano records & NDSA aka Ticon, which has taken place over the spring and summer 2007, and spiced up with some of his best solo tracks.

Due to problems at the factory, it was not possible for them to deliver Reefer Decree "Point of You" in time. The new worldwide release date is set to May 10th 2006.

Reefer Decree is about to be ready with his new album on Iboga Records. Emok is putting final touches to his remix for the "Point of You" album, which is due out on April 24th. On the same date, Seahorse Transform from Copenhagen releases his debut album on Sofa Beats.

Dear all, once again we have had to move the release date due to problems with the delivery from the factory. The official relase date is now Tuesday the 4th of October.

Release date of the PO album "It Cetra" Is moved to September 28th due to delay in the print of the CD in Brazil. It has to release at same time so we have to wait for the plant in Brazil too be ready.

We can announce that today is the official release day of the Digital Mystery Tour album - Dmt Express. This is the first release on our new sub label "Sofa Beats". It is available in our webshop.

We are ready to announce the coming releases on Iboga. On August 22nd, we will release two different Phony Orphants 2 track vinyls. This is a foretaste of the upcoming CD album called "It´Cetra" releasing September 12. We have a first release on Sofa Beats as well. Its The second album by "Dmt" called Dmt express. The album is releasing on August the 29th.
