Phony Orphants: Jeppe Ørnkilde (Dj jeppe) and Mikael Dahlgaard (Dj Emok) meet each other after a high school trip with intensive music courses around 10 years ago, quickly they got hang of the electronic music development there was going on in Denmark, and started to do parties them self’s. After a while it was clear that they had to take their skills to the studio, so in 98 the Iboga studio got formed in Copenhagen and soon after the boys had their first releases coming out on various labels such as Transient, Aries, Plastic Park, Nanobeat and Plusquam. Phony Orphants are producing tracks, which ranges from psychedelic to progressive and into techno and house… During 2002 they have been working on their first album for Iboga Records, and after much anticipation “Symphony” which was released in the spring 2003. An extensive tour followed to promote the album, which took the boys around the world to big festivals and parties like Voov in Germany, the Outback eclipse in Australia, Utage in Japan and the Equinox in Mexico to name just a few.

Since the album the Orphants have been working with various artist like Antix & True to nature to get inspiration and to learn new ways of putting storming tracks together…Now the boys are working on the 2nd album which will be released in the end of 04 start 05 and it sure sounds promising… there will be some sneak preview of tracks on the site so stay tuned if you want a taste of what’s to come.
