This project is a collaboration between two old friends, Oliver Bierlich and Jonas Christiansen. These two guys jammed their brains out in their old rock ‘n’ roll days, and now re-unite once again in another era.
Jonas "Chaz" or "Jones" has his electronic roots as a DJ in the house/break beat scene in Copenhagen and adds the exterior flavour to his grooves and sounds.
Oliver Bierlich has a long discography, releasing as Reefer Decree and ORYX with a long list of international live sets and dj gigs behind him. Now, in the common interest of having a good time and expanding outside the trance boundaries, they join forces. This debut album “Picking up the Pieces” is a meltdown of dub, reggae, Latin, trance, house, and will be out this july. The release of “Club Velour” on the “Floating Point II” compilation by Iboga, is a peep into what’s to come. The project includes a lot of raw sampling and live musicians continuing the search of that elusive golden track! This fusion has all the essential elements for great listening and is the first release of the new sub label "Sofa Beats" of Iboga records.
